George McGowan, Epping Green Chapel's Organist Retires

Epping Green Chapel's very own organist George McGowan has made it into the Guardian Gazette!

The newspaper was impressed with his incredible 74 years of organ playing, and George, who has announced his retirement from the service, was given a feature by them.

George is a valuable member of our church community, and we have highly enjoyed having him as our church organist for all this time. We thank him for all of his hard work and dedication, and am glad that he will be continuing to attend the Church services every Sunday.

To read the whole article, please click through to the Guardian Gazette.

We are now looking for someone to become a permanent replacement for George. Please ring the chapel on 01992 572 093 if you would like to lend your organ playing skills! Thank you.
